I have 2 questions/suggestions. 1. It appears that Northern Tool has made a few adjustments to the versions they are now selling. Whats different about the new version versus your machine? Have they answered any of the problems you discussed? 2. Where does a machine like this fall in between a $30k machine and these cheaper chinese machines that are flooding the market? Could be a good video if your looking to make more content
Change the aluminum waterbox to one off a 2016 v1 tr1 engine. Its 2 inches shorter and you can use 4 inch inboard exhaust hose. You do need to trim the piece that holds the ecm. Sounds awesome

I built my house 32 years ago and just two months ago, had it pumped for the first time. The tank was full. After pumping it out, it was suggested to use some copper sulphate to kill any roots that may be leaching into the drain field. I prevented from planting any large trees near the drain field. I added the yeast about a month later and have had no problems yet! I'll add the yeast from now on.

Did these today. Everyone says they come out easy. Im calling BS... Front two were definitely leaking bad, never done with almost 300,000 kms on the clock...buy the entire plug/seal replacement part... I got one out with a breaker bar (240+ ftlb), the other 3 required an air hammer (chisel?) to get them to spin out...front of the engine was just saturated in oil...

On my 2012 vx cruiser I spent hours. Probably going to end up using a sawz all to remove it. It’s awful to remove. This video doesn’t explain how terrible this is to remove. Just know this before trying it on the model I have. Be warned. I’ve removed the jet pump, replaced impeller, spark plugs, removed my air box. I have many tools and know what I’m doing around a wrench. This is not easy. Anyway. That’s a warning and word to the wise.
Do you remember the brand name of that air filter? Was the foam on the filter something that you added? Or did it come that way? Thx

And if you had to pay your mechanic to do this " mod" and he charged you a fair wage to make a living, you would call him a hack and a thief. If he fixed it correctly, you would call him a thief. Spend the money and fix the damn truck correctly.

DO NOT DO THIS!! i just did it and took a LOT of violence to get it out. Lucky I didn't seriously damage my intake. A LOT of plastic shavings liberated into the intake- the danger to the engine is not worth it!

If you always find the dpf filter clogged, it probably isn't your dpf filter. The engine itself malfunctioning. Low fuel pump pressure, low injection spray pattern, wrong pump timing, wrong fuel, dribbling nozzle. High altitude/ non-turbo. Does it have an EGR valve. The engine may well be sooting up. Is this a direct injection or common-rail. I have seen direct injection pumps cams lobes worn down with very low hours. A clogged or incorrect air filter could cause the engine to soot so bad it could overcome the catalytic effect of the dpf filter. My t474 is none over 200hrs with no regen. The clogged dpf is telling you something about your engine.

coupla notes - the photography on this video is good. where you bent the heat shield, ,thats a small retaining loop for the sensor wire. if you buy the right O2 removal socket you can attach it to a 3/8 ratchet. I really dont think you want anti-seize on that sensor. they are very susceptible to certain chemicals.
"so much more room to work" what exactly are you doing down in that spot so often? it almost seems like you're mostly just happy to have the bowl gone, rather than it actually making much of a difference. for doing routine maintenance, there's really no reason to be working in that area. only if there's a problem, which should be quite rare. but hey if it makes you feel better, by all means, enjoy :)
so now its 3 years later, do you still have it? can it run a brush cutter and drive the tracks at the same time? sufficient hydraulic flow to handle everything you throw at it within reason? is there a follow up video out there? thanks.
